hey y'all,

the central point of the MOQ is that to abide in the
moment is the best advice of all.

indeed, not being 'in the moment' pretty much captures
the problem with the west.

do we experience the potential future? yes we can
imagine it/dream it. this is necessary to appraise
various consequences. it is a function of the
intellectual level.

do we choose our path...yes we do. we are most free
when our path is in harmony with the Tao; when it *is*
the Tao. this paradox (freedom in adherence) is only
ostensible, for the Tao is without manifest form.

what is choice ideally based on? quality

when you are choosing based on quality, the choices
will seem to happen of themselves...like the master
butcher whose knife never blunts in the chuang tzu.

life is supposed to get easier as you learn from
experience and ideas...as you approach the Tao more
closely.

a paradisical life, in harmony with nature, with the
Tao, is possible, even with self-conscious
individuals; in fact i guess that is the point: the
power of self-consciousness (reason, science,
technology) grounded in unity with the natural world.
a relative separation/objectivity (sq); an absolute
unity/harmony(Dq).
