I don't, especially, either.  But it was Platt's question, not mine.

It's a leading question in the context of individual values for which any
meaningful philosophy should offer a reasonable explanation.  But I knew
that Platt's answer was going to come directly out of the mouth of Pirsig:
"It's better than the alternative."

And that's a moral Plattitude, not a metaphysical explanation.
