hey,
the position that reality doesn't exist except for
those that have the concept 'reality' is perhaps
interesting to language pedants but seems to me of the
same ilk as the idea that animals don't feel pain
because they don't have the concept 'pain'.
what it illustrates nicely is the classic SOM clanger:
mistaking the 'map' for the 'territory. in this case
to such a degree that the absurdity is hard to miss.
which is a long way of saying: nice one micah! this is
a good example of just the thing we need to bring the
SOM and MoQ division into sharper relief.
experienced reality is not the concept 'reality'; the
concept 'reality' is an intellectual static pattern,
experienced reality is pre-intellectual. the concept
'reality' is a lot less fun than experienced reality.
