Case,
A collection of essays written by individuals, isn't a book written by a
group. Or maybe it is?

So was Lila's Child. But, this, like the above, were compilations from
various individual writers. (Wasn't the Iliad written by Homer?)
[Case]
I was trying to keep it simple but the Bible was written by various authors
individually but large portions were edited probably by Ezra in about 500
B.C. He combined they works of several writings, themselves previously
edited into one. As for Homer he may or may not have actually existed but
the story itself was passed down orally and evolved in successive retellings
into its present form.
I could be wrong but it seems like books with collective authors are out
there.
