Corrrection. I do not claim my cat, UTOE, is self-aware -- that he knows that
he knows. Nor does Pirsig support the idea that that all things -- animal,
vegtable and mineral -- possess awareness. I cited the example of a rock, a
mineral, being a heap, not a holon. Heaps are not aware. Finally, experience
(awareness) is not incorporated into reality. It is reality. Ham seems to 
believe reality is something "out there," forgetting that there is no "out
there" without and "in here," both of which originate in the indivisible "now."
