     What is MIND?  From gav's wondering I discern and
understand quality and thus, static quality to be
pre-intellect.  Static patterns are definable.  Static
patterns are labeled and identified, but they are not
conceived or birthed in human concept alone.  Static
patterns pre-exist or in other words, have been
existing before intellectual activity of these static
patterns.  Static patterns are reality
pre-intellectual, and thus, dynamic, also.  Reality,
quality, is dynamic and is patternized as we may
notice into patterns of either inorganic, organic,
society, and/or intellect.  This dynamic aspect, this
quality (reality), has any static pattern definable,
or put into patterns, but if you venture too far into
latching static patterns you will find yourself slip
into dynamism.
     Static patterns have a loose fray where dynamic
quality will be found.  This is how quality is
reality, not just static patterns and not just
dynamism.  This is how I view this.  That's why I say:
What's MIND?  Some aspects of quality congregate
enough in ways that we view patterns.  We view
inorganic patterns, organic patterns, society patterns
and intellect patterns.  Yet, each of these static
patterns, though eventually viewed intellectually, are
pre-intellectual.  These levels, as Pirsig calls them,
are pre-intellectual reality.
     The valuing going on upon these levels are
valuing patterns.  As quality has patterns we, as
human beings, may come along and notice these patterns
and latch identities, thus, use the intellect to
identify these patterns, yet, I'm viewing these static
patterns to be pre-intellect, and therefore not mind? 
Mind is just our perception of the valuing going-on. 
This is the pigeonholing we may cultivate.  Thus, our
defining, our cultivation of our (or my) perception
pigeonholes quality (reality).  Quality is supposed to
take us 'out-of' our narrow, pigeonhole perception. 
Maybe?  This is how perception stream-lines power in
this universe.  The perceptions we have navigates us
upon a world.  This is how perception is key to what
kind of universe we find ourselves in.  The universe
will be one according to the perception we (or
individuals) have.  Perception is shaped by
pigeonholing.  How do we pigeonhole?  I'm sure it's
quantum participation.  The tree will be what I
perceive the tree to be.  Quantum physics seems to be
stating this, and art seems to be stating this, too. 
Our values shape our pigeonhole thus shape our
perception, thus, shapes the quality (reality) of this
universe.  This is why I believe dynamic quality is to
be recognized alongside static quality.  For no matter
how much we 'think' we view reality, something dynamic
will happen and change that thinking of reality. 
Reality streamlines and we experience direct reality,
but to encapsulate reality only into a static latch of
intellect is to miss-out on the lesson of Change, as
the another autumn leaf falls to the earth.

     Why are static patterns differentiated?  As I
mentioned above, the longer you focus upon static
patterns, any static pattern, sooner or later your
perception will slip into the fray, the dynamism that
exists.  The static pattern will seemingly be missing
something.  The static pattern will have definition
and/or identity that will not be isolated.  We will
notice other static patterns linking and combining
with each static pattern.  This is a universe of
relationships.  Even death and chaos have related
patterns that will fit together with birth and order. 

     Just when you think you've gone extremely static,
you slip over to dynamic quality, and vice versa.
