hey gav,
lower case here. this is the first i have heard about being required to stay
on point. is this a new rule? or an old one that everybody just ignores?
either way i will speak to upper case about it.
he says to tell you that substituting an anthropomorphic conceptual villain
for real life assholes sounds like a good trade but it's the same roots and
the same soil. i say, if it explains everything it sounds good to me. i hope
this doesn't mean you have to change the thread title again. it's nice to
see you found the big letters.
anyway megadittos on: some hemingway, dostoevsky, kafka, kerouac, hesse,
goethe, tom robbins, tolkien, kesey, joseph heller, henry miller, anyway. i
am also big on faulkner, fitzgerald, mark twain, william saroyan, vonnagutt,
raymond chandler. but my real favorites are william gibson, hunter thompson,
harry crews, carl hiaasen and the two vinges.
upper case says he just likes porno and thought farewell to arms was
wretched.
love

Subject: [MD] was conspiracy theories, now: the GIANT
that wasn't the point of my post case.
just so we are back on track i have renamed the
thread.
the point was:
well in brief, the social level in the MoQ, its raison
d'etre, and its mode of being all explain 'evil'
actions by the state etc in a way that doesn't
necessitate the conspiracy theory logic, ie evil
powerful dudes scheming away. it is just the social
level, the giant, doing what it does to survive.
to the giant, murder, war, lies, censorship etc are
all *moral*, because they maintain the social grip.
