Well said Rebecca. Ham and Platt's SOM posts (regarding politics at least)
still make my neck bleed. BTW, I presume the title of this thread is
referring to the imperialist behaviour of the white man (the "barbarians
from the West" as the old Taoist monks used to say...)?
Another wider point about being consistent about immigration and leading by
example: there remains enough space in Europe (such as the highlands of
Scotland) for the repatriation of all the "lost" European masses that
travelled to the Americas and Australiasia over the last four centuries.
Not that conservative minded immigrants (and/or their descendants) such as
Platt and Ham would be particularly welcomed back!
