Hi Heather,

of the definitions you supplied for perfection: two of them are self
referential and the others merely pass the problem on to some of other word;
flawlessness and excellence have merely subjective meanings in the social
realm, your girls are excellent trouble makers.

I agree with you that, in people, conducive behaviour, morals, have to be
learned, but new born babies are not born without any morals they already
have a substantial framework when they arrive in the world; how else do they
pick up language for instance whereas a chimp reared by people wont learn to
speak and how about cases of identical twins who are seperated in childhood
but become reunited later in life and yet still find they have the same
predispositions (I am reading Steven Pinker's 'The Blank Slate' lately).

Don Quan and Carlos were the main characters in a series of stories the
first of which was 'The Teachings of Don Quan'. Carlos Castaneda was a
student of anthropology who won his qualification through those stories
which he claimed were developed from actual meetings with Don Quan, a Yaqui
indian shaman, who 'saw' that Carlos was elect; Carlos then unwittingly
became Don Quan's apprentice.
