you more or less got what I meant by 'elect'. It's 20+ years since I read
those books and at the time they had a very strong effect on me; however I
forget the exact terminology and I am loathe to dig out those old paperbacks
now. If I remember Don Quan saw Carlos' luminous body and the 'Nagual' (some
kind of unknowable alien power) told Don Quan to stalk him! There is a lot
of Peyote and Datura taking on their path's to become 'men of knowledge'.
Nowadays I wouldn't bother with those books since I don't believe in the
supernatural - but, on the other hand, who can say what is real and what's
not real when you take powerful psychedelics?
