intellectual levels. And it seems to me that this is exactly how we should 
be looking at the issue of "blind obedience". Totalitarian communism, 
fascism, and religious fanaticism share in common a glorification of social 
level authority and each demands blind obedience at the expense of 
intellectual values. Reactionaries come in many flavors. 
Anti-intellectualism takes many forms. See, there is nothing wrong with the 
"middle ground" or moderation per se. I just think that the way you are 
doing it, Ian, is full of contradictory nonsense.
