Creative artists rely heavily on intuition (the muses). Many keep their works
to themselves. Those who put their creations out for the public to judge
are usually pleased when they are accepted. But popularity has never been a measure
or "test" of artistic merit. In fact, I can't think of any conceivable "test" that
ought to be imposed to keep art "private." (Which doesn't mean taxpayer dollars
so beloved by Arlo should be used to support pornography.)
