[Platt previously]
If you want to surrender to terrorists, don't let me stop you.
[Arlo]
Ah, witness the exquisite grandeur of the talk-radio argument.
[Platt]
Ah, witness the exquisite response of self-proclaimed critical thinker.
[Arlo]
Just like the inane "Plan for Defeat", the continuing propaganda to
paint disagreement with the administration as not only appeasing
but supporting terrorists is such a shameful display of rhetoric to
be nearly inexcusable. And, yes, pointing out that it is a
tactic adopted from the talk-radio party mouthpieces is more than
fair. Indeed, I think I was generous in reply, using such
despicable rhetoric like that should have warranted a far more
aggressive reply.
In the end, all it does is show the desperation and shamelessness
of the right-wing propaganda machine. Which was the only reason
we laughed about it.
[Platt]
Much sound and fury, signifying nothing except agreement with
surrendering to terrorists.
[Arlo]
Yeah, you're right, Platt. I want to surrender to terrorists. How
brilliantly astute of you.
Shameful. Utterly, utterly shameful.
