Social Darwinism, Platt's position, is that "poverty" is nature's way of
weeding out the riff-raff. The poor are simply our nation's lazy, slothful
vermin, so letting them die off makes the nation better.

I almost wish I was lying. The "lie" here is for you to deny it. You have tied
"value" to "wealth" so many times, condemned the "poor" as being simply too
stupid or lazy to get a job in our Great Land O' Opportunity, and reincarnated
Marie Antionette when you suggested that those suffering under poverty in West
Virginia should simply "move somewhere else and get a job" lest they deserve to
die off with no loss to our Greatest Nation. But of course the Pee Wee
Maneuver, attempting to deflect the evil of your own rhetorical tactics back on
others who point it out, is _the_ talk-radio way. Which you keep proving again
and again and again.
