[Micah]
Again, you are attempting to defend a liar by saying he should never have been
put in a position to lie - but he put himself in that position.

[Arlo]
Sure he did. But so what? There are things I'd "lie" about too, because they
are none of anyone else's business. So you can damn well bet that if I found
myself sitting in a court whose only purpose was to publicly humiliate me by
asking me irrelevant personal questions, I'd "lie" too.

No matter how you try to dismiss it, it was absolutely evil for Clinton to be
put in that position. His indiscretion should have been between him and his
family, a private matter that should have been resolved by those involved. Just
like any affair or indiscretion you might have, or me, or Platt, or anyone.

But we love to sit in judgment of "vice". See how Platt gets all drooly and
willy-nilly over the "sex" Clinton had. As if his "affair" proves he is the
epitome of all evil. We put a big, red "A" on his chest and masturbate over how
righteous and moral and perfect _we_ are. Right.

Clinton had his faults. Many of his policies were misguided and as such I took
(take) serious issue with them. But this pedantic "blow job" fascination of
those on the right is pathetic. The generate a lake of bile and spittle, and
then dare to condemn the person they drown in it? Sorry if I don't share your
enthusiasm for that right-wing circle jerk, which is why the whole inanity of
"Bush Bashing" is such a gross hypocrisy as to warrant nothing but laughs.

On the flipside, is Bush also unfairly assailed. Sure. But his display of
incompetence when asked a question he SHOULD know (and that's one of many
examples of the same thing you can find on YouTube) is not unfair "bashing".
His incompetence, in other words, to hold the office of the president is based
on his demonstration of the knowledge of that position, a demonstration he
himself makes as on shown on that video.

I'll save my voting comments for the voting thread.
