You're entitled to your opinion Micah, but that's a personal insult
... my views on "governance" are arrived at after plenty of my own
consideration ... not something someone "sold" me.
As I've mentioned in plenty of other threads ... the alternative to
"the system" is not no system, but a better, improved, evolved system
... IMHO naturally.
Also, the diversity of our possible ways to approach that change, is
itself a quality asset, maximises the chance of achieving change ...
each to his own as I said.
Your constant use of the word "only" suggests you are too exclusively
certain of your opinions ... again IMHO.
