Hi David M, 

As Pirsig points out, everyone decides truth values for himself. So
to the literalist I would say, "To me your trust in the Bible's quality regarding
the age of the earth is of low quality." Will he misunderstand me? I don't think
so. So the literalist and I can agree to disagree.
