hey khaled,
the list is interesting.
i think it shows how crucial communality is, as it is
the small nations, especially island nations, that do
best.
one mild criticism: i think climate may be an
important factor!

but i guess this excerpt from the spokesman for (#1
nation) vanuatu sums it up:

"This is not a consumer-driven society. Life here is
about community and family and goodwill to other
people. It's a place where you don't worry too much."

life's not very complicated really is it.
