Marsha,

to have courage you must know cowardice too.
You can't have one without the other.

You remind me of the American remake of the 'The Magnificent Seven' where,
during a break in the fighting, one of the Mexican kids is saying how brave
his favourite cowboy is in helping protect the village from the bandits. The
kid says he wished his father had as much courage. But the cowboy puts the
child over his knee and tells him that being a father and raising a family
takes more courage than he has.
