Then the assumption must be subjective. I have not seen "objective" used to
mean secondary or derivative before. My science education led me to
understand objective to mean based on empirical evidence and thus
universally verifiable. My intuition (and logic) tells me that where there
is objectivity there is also subjectivity.

If the "fact" of existence is objective but requires human cognizance to
make it demonstrable, what you seem to be saying is that existence is
objective because it is realized subjectively. I'm not sure I can accept
that logic.
Perhaps you will resolve this paradoxical conclusion the next time ;-)?
