Speak for yourself. I for one don't feel the least bit isolated, lonely, or
alienated. Sure the world isn't perfect, but beauty abounds. Better to seek
and soak up the good than whimper and whine about the ills. Didn't Pirsig
write about the restorative power of a little gumption? Ach, just blow on 
your hands. There's a world of personal fulfillment out there. Go get it.

It is so seldom that we agree I could not resist chiming in here. I am
reminded of Robert Louis Stevenson who said:

"The world is so full of a number of things
I'm sure we should all be as happy as kings"
