researching and documenting contrary opinions to whatever current ax
you are grinding. In this case you might go to a "source" you seem to
have confidence in, Wikipedia.

So did you actually read this, Platt. It does present such argument as have
been advanced but notes the vested interests of most the opponents. It also
notes that most of these "arguments" are not taken very seriously and that
such opposition as does existed is primarily political not scientific.
