There is generally a basic argument that we are following the natural cycle 
of going in and out of ice ages.  However, by altering the concentration of 
CO2 (and just about everything else) drastically through the process of 
industrializing the world over the past XXX years, humans can have an 
effect!

Not only can an extremely small alteration have major consequences for 
climate, but lets not forget the actual toxicity of the various ecosystems?


Is there ANY.... science that denies the extent to which we have corrupted 
and polluted the planet?  Even barring ice ages and rising sea levels, the 
availability of unpolluted food sources is becoming a thing of the past.



So here are the outcomes:

Pollution is not a problem:   We make efforts to reduce our impact, and find 
out that it was a costly mistake.  We do nothing, and are ok!

Pollution is a problem:  We make efforts to reduce our impact, and make at 
least a slightly better prospect for future generations.  We do nothing, and 
leave a legacy of a useless, and toxic earth behind for our children.



If you are playing as if it was a gamble, which gives a better payoff?  
doing nothing.

which has the least risk: doing something !!!
