To control human beings? To reduce choices?

Science looks at what is you want to know about what ought to be. Science
can and should inform such choices but that it not it chief concern.

Once can argue that social sciences are being used by political and monied
interests to control human beings. I too, would complain about much of what
is being done in this regard these days. But would you prefer to leave it
totally up to chance? Much as I rant about my affection for Chaos and
uncertainty, my love of science stems from it's ability to mitigate against
them.
