(Your disagreement with Case's first point is really just a semantic
argument about the word "overcomes".... anyway ... )
But, physical well-being ? Huh. I would point out that "medical
science" has moved on a good deal since physical application of
leeches and physical amputation of diseased limbs. It maintains and
repairs the living "biological" and the mental, and in occupational
medicine, even addresses the social and intellectual education of
minds.
Science has advanced in the last 100 years.
