Hi Gav
I don't see a problem here, we do
experience ourselves as bodies within
our own experience, and if we shut down
the interaction between our bodies and
the environment, in a sensory deprivation
tank, we find that we have reduced what
we experience internally.
Pirsig does not tackle the experience of what
is internal and external, but it is a real
experience, i.e. we can both see the yellow
banana pattern in the shared external sphere
but only I am aware of the pink banana pattern
I am imagining in the unshared individual sphere.
And let's not make the mistake of thinking inner
unshared individual patterns are not as real as any other.
