Greetings,

The 'Flood for Thought' thread reminds me that I was watching an
interview program with four megagiants from the technology
industry. They were discussing the future. It all was very exciting
until one stated that most high school children have never sent an
email, "maybe occasionally to their elders'. They text message, or
instant message. Shock!!! Besides the pain of knowing I'm being
left behind, I can only wonder what will this world be like in twenty
years? Of course, that's if the Earth, because of our own stupidity,
doesn't render us extinct.

Beauty and the Geek premiered Wednesday night. It's the newest flavor
of reality TV. I didn't watch it. But I haven't been able to stop
thinking about it. Will this begin the celebrity of the
intellect? Or the final blow? Will someone become an intellectual
rock star? What will he be like? Are young chemistry students
getting excited? And what about beauty? And beautiful women? I was
informed that the program is produced by Ashton Kutcher who is
married to Demi Moore. (Go Demi!!!) I think Demi Moore may be a
Buddhist, but not sure. Are young chemistry students getting excited?

Anyway, what do you think? Is this a crazy world, or what? It
certainly isn't boring?

This is the state of the culture. Is it worth some evaluation?
