Just a point of clarification my dear but see if you wife agrees.

For the technologically challenged or "techno-tards" as I prefer to think of
them, the term nerd is applied to the socially inept. I plead guilty to
being socially challenged but generally identify myself as a 'geek'. 

Nerds play games for the shear joy of the experience and because they are
socially inept. 

Geeks play because games represent the frontier and cutting edge of
technological possibility and because they are socially inept.

Nerds worship Geeks when the net goes down or their mice miss the point.
