[MD] Consciousness Once More

No worries, Platt. I thought it was serendipitous that the new Time should
happen to feature several articles on consciousness just as we were discussing
it. I have not yet read them all in their entirety, much less the sidebar and
one-page essays included along with these (in the magazine). I have mixed
feelings to date, so don't take that post as an endorsement of what those
articles contain.

And in our other threads, I guess we should try to condense them so there aren't
three-in/three-out each hour. :-) I sorted out the "Respect for the Design"
component because I think its interesting, and I would be surprised if many
make it through each of our exchanges. If there are other topics we can tease
out, perhaps we should streamline.
