Been thinking about the war. It hurts. I don't understand any of
it. I just watched Charlie Rose who had on John Burns, just in from
Baghdad (NYT). He is familiar and seems real Iraq? What a fucking
mess! Honestly, I sometimes want to zoom back and visualize the
earth floating in the sky and NOT think. What's real? What's
illusion? What matters? What direction? Thinking, and feeling too,
sometimes seems like one big fur ball.

Value? I'm not quiet sure how much you're actually suppose to think
about Pirsig's value? Maybe you should have three bins, one marked
'high value', one marked 'low value' and one marked 'not much
value'. As the thoughts come, you just sort them into the
appropriate bin. But, of course, since they are constant it will
take a while to discover the patterns. Then when you recognize a
worthless pattern, you toss the whole pattern into the proper
bin. But then, if you spend all your time sorting, you're missing
the ever flowing, undefinable now.

So why don't you do me a favor, and tell me something great about you.
