Hey Platt,
While I have you,I wanted to say that
I admire the way you make no bones about how you feel, and yes
aggression should be repelled and yes the indiginous
Culture was way behind in the war making area, even their concept of war
was different and to a large extent nieve.
I agree the Romantasizing of Native culture gets in the way of serious
social enquirey figures like Rousseau pioneered such
Ideas about social conscience way before Pirsig and his Peyote smokin
quality trip (it's eaten by th by) so these ideas
Are rooted deeper than just some english prof idealist ramblings on
peyote (which may incidentally have had a hand in his "insanity")
Peyote is a very powerfull haloucenegen, like LSD.. Some people are fine
some are locked in a phsyc ward. It is taken in cerimony only after
Long mental preparation and even then only at the discretion of the
elders.
But.. I have a question for you, if you think that god favors the just ,
(metaphorically speaking, I know your'e not that absolute)
Do you also feel by that reasoning that Islam has some legitamcy? Simply
because it has survived till now?

Just goes to show there are barbarians all over the world in all eras.

The settlers at Johnstown were slaughtered, but still others came.

Yes, I hope we would try to repel invaders today who wanted to take over
the country, regardless of their odor or manners.
