[Case]

Platt, Ron and Marsha,

Obviously the article Platt points us to is nothing more than a rant. It
mentions a book then goes on to spew the article author own interpretation
of the "facts" and somehow through a circuitous route gets around to the
folly of Europeans comparing Hussein and Hitler possibly because both names
start with H. 

Somehow Platt interprets this as representing scientific "facts". Oh what a
tangled web we weave...

"Maybe American civilization stopped warlike indigenous tribes from
killing each other and from raping the women of conquered tribes."
That argument is really rather flimsy if you look at it, It could be
said the same of nazi germany by conquering the world they would have
elimenated all war.
While It's an honest reaction and emphisizes the error of romanticism,
This article really seems to be stating how middle class
White americans are tired of (as they perceive)being made to feel guilty
and amoral for a past they feel they had nothing to do with.

 The Iroqoi had something
Called "counting coo"  if you touch an enemy with a "coo" stick  and
come back alive showed more honor than killing an enemy.
As far as canniblism is concerned, among the Iroquoi there is a spirit
known as the wenndigo it is known for embodying cannibalism
And is feared. Cannibalism is taboo in most tribes. Now, don't get me
wrong there was warefare and killing and rape among them
For they are too, human.

genetically predisposed to warfare and suggesting, "Maybe American
civilization stopped warlike indigenous tribes from killing each other
