Jos,

If an individual is a constellation of static patterns of value, they 
can't know a pattern that is outside of their constellation.  It's 
not there, it's not there.  If you are striving for emptiness, than 
you have a static pattern of value representing emptiness.  (Dynamic 
Quality is outside my statement and knowledge.)  I am speaking 
conventionally, of course.

That's my take, but I could be wrong.
