Hi,

The first time I went to Spain was in 1984.  I was somewhat shocked 
by the amount of nudity in their television programs.  I was shocked 
only because it was outside my experience of television, not because 
I was offended by nudity.  But there was also something else going on 
that was shocking.  There was not the violence that is so common in 
U.S. programs.  We tend to take violence for granted, and become 
immune to the exposure of it.  Not so in other 
cultures.  Pop!  Another bunch of static patterns dropped away.
