Platt, you have been wondering for some time -
who will make decisions. This is usually a question
of yours in government and anarchy threads. Well,
here's your answer. Everybody. This quote from
Nicholas Maxwell helps bring this "everybody" to light
more (Taken from "Basic Argument for the Need for an
Intellectual Revolution").
"One outcome of getting into social and
institutional life the kind of aim-evolving,
hierarchical methodology indicated above, generalized
from science, is that it becomes possible for us to
develop and assess rival philosophies of life as a
part of social life, somewhat as theories are
developed and assessed within science."
This is exactly what I thought we were doing
here, or supposed to be doing here. Putting in our
thoughts and watching what happens. Ham likes to call
this poetry and not philosophy, but philosophy has
always been something done at the dinner table in my
life.
thanks.
evening,
SA
