Its scary, but its not surprising. The Right has always waged a view against The
Academy. Even Pirsig was labeled as a "radical professor" in an attempt to
quiet him and have him removed from teaching. I think vigilance is our best
defense against the Right's assault of academic freedom. In how many eras have
their efforts at censorship failed. This will fail too. And if it doesn't,
well, get ready for the next Dark Ages. :-)
