I still don't know much about it but I've been learning a little bit about 
modern painters these days. Apparently, there was a brief period in cubism 
called orphism. It looked like regular cubism except with brilliant colors 
and I guess they were given the name because they had some pretensions about 
journeying through the depths. Also, Kandinsky and some of his friends also 
infused painting with spiritual aspirations. I mean, painting Parmedides the 
Taoist is an idea that kinda thrills me. I'd very much like to see a picture 
of that.
