I will review to two or three Wilber works I have. They are A Brief History
of Everything and Kosmic Consciousness I also have some stuff he did on the
Matrix. I will then happily provide specifics on where I see Wilber leading
people astray. As I said my initial impressions were that he raises
interesting points but abuses the data. Despite your claims to the contrary
my impression was also that his logic was driven by his conclusions not
toward them.

dmb says:
Hmmm. You assert that he abuses the data to lead people astray even though
you don't yet have any specific reasons? Perhaps you ought think about who
else uses a logic driven by his conclusions, eh? I mean, you've expressed
your disapproval many times but all I recall is a lot of attitude, not
actual reasons.

Don't get me wrong. I appreciate your willness to check it our for yourself.
And I've learned to trust my hunches to some extent, especially when I smell
bullshit. Just don't forget that a reading can be powerfully effected by the
attitude of the reader. I imagine that a positivist like yourself is going
to bristle at his shamelessly spiritual vocabulary but I also think that if
you look at the psychological backing for what he's saying you'll easily see
that he's not refering to anything supernatural or whatever. Heck, with the
right attitude you might even enjoy it.
