Jos,

Your starting assumption of "AOI" existing rests on the premise of "I".

"AOI" cannot exist without first having "I" - removing "I" therefore removes
the possibility of "AOI" existing (notice the "I" in "AOI"). Further "AOI"
is non-thing.

Proving something doesn't exist is not possible; proving something does,
is - you are asking me to prove nothing.

Micah

An honest attempt thus follows:

If we remove the theoretical "I" from an equation it seems a reasonable
assumption that the result will be "absence of I". This absent state can
then be regarded as an entity (AOI).
With the starting assumption that AOI exists I can then require the
questioner to prove its non existence, rather than the other way around.

Micah, please prove that my non-existence does not exist in absence of my
existence?

Clearly this AOI is an example of a "thing" that exists independently of me
and will be present after my death, better than that it is actively "proved"
by my non-existence - the deader I am the more strongly the case is made.

Jos
