Our conversation these past few weeks has provided for me a glimpse into your
take on things. And so what you say here fascinates me.

I've been reflecting on _the truth is not out there_ for years. Yesterday morning
it crystalized into _but looking for truth out there is the only way to discover
truth_. The feeling is, when first we ask "who am I" we haven't the training or
the experience to know to look inside for the answer. And so we look
elsewhere. And of course we don't find it out there. I think searching and not
finding and then finding is a more accurate description of how people come to
know who they are.

> You might protest this answer, but it is how I experience things.

Isn't protest something people do to effect negative change in something or
someone else, e.g., stop this or don't do that? My preference is positive
change.

Yesterday NPR reported on a movement to create a U.S. Department of Peace.

This sounds like something I could support.
