No. It's an endorsement of the capitalist system that makes it 
possible for the poor to become self-sufficient in the U.S.

So you're suggesting the quality of life for our poor and for 
Zambia's poor only differs in the "potential" afforded by a 
capitalist economy? If the poor are indeed simply lazy, how does this 
potential help them?

I'd say a capitalist economy has generated enough wealth for us to 
treat our poor to medicine, food and shelter not available to the 
poor suffering in countries with no industry and no functional 
economic power. And, the difference is we are doing so, while the 
poor in Zambia and Indonesia are left to suffer on the streets, 
hungry and without medical attention. Would you like to see that here?
