Arlo,

I would agree they are intellectual patterns are used to "define
meaning" once we have created ... "formalized abstract representation"
... of the intended meaning
but I'm not sure it's necessarily intellectual before then.

But we are really just debating the poor distinction between social /
individual and intellectual once again, for the zillionth time, and
applying our "definitions" of those ;-)
