[MD] seeing beyond the mirror (was: Heads or tails?)

Hi Platt

Well I think a rigid a contrast between emotions
and reason is probably rather SOMist. I think when
new levels emerge they place older SQ in a new context
and/or bend it into a new shape/role. Do we not have an
emotional attachment to the good that evolves as we come
to experience and recognise new goods. Do we not develop
emotional attachments to the civilising benefits of society?
