Kevin said to Ron:
It seems to me the MoQ is saying that the height of human existence is
realized individually through the intellect. Do I have this right?

dmb says:
Not exactly. The MOQ puts intellect over tradition - including the system of
sentiments provided by tradition. And it puts tradition over biology too.
But don't forget about the code of art. This says that DQ is better than any
kind of static quality, including intellectual static quality. And of course
it's not about the higher levels cancelling or eliminating the lower levels.
The idea of overall excellence would require an integration of all these
kinds of quality. That's the true meaning of integrity. And so it is with
feeling emotions and sentiments. They ought not rule you but ignoring them
will get you in a big heap of trouble.

But let's not pretend that the MOQ's highest form of reality is a
sociopathic mathematician. As I like to say, this confuses Robert Pirsig
with Mr. Spock, the emotionless Vulcan of Star Trek fame.
