Um, if you take antoher look at the post in question you'll see that I was 
not complaining about insults or jokes at my expense but rather their 
substance and validity. In fact, I was not asking you to stop with the 
insulting remarks, but to substantiate them and elaborate on them. It was 
complaining about their emptiness and that complaint simply isn't relevant. 
The very same complaint could be made about flattering or neutral statements 
too. Really, I don't mind the jabs as long as there is an actual point being 
made. In fact, I think its fun to trade insults even when I'm the target. 
No, especially when I'm the target. In a way, such insults are very 
flattering. It usually means people are seriously engaged and involved and 
otherwise feel the that particular issue matters. It has a way of putting 
that "disinterested" attitude aside for something more personally 
meaningful. I mean, if you don't piss people off now and then you're 
probably not saying much. Don't you think?
