Why bother with pensions, insurance and birth control
otherwise, for 3 examples?

Making plans and schemes, as our species is so adept at doing, greatly
enhances reproductive success. If you can improve your odds, it's no
guarantee but, it does inspire hope. This is all very meaningful for us but
to speak of rocks and trees in this way seems little more than a projection
of myself. And not a serious attempt to become acquainted with other. I
think it strengthens rather than weakens the illusion of Maya.
