Craig,

The future is potential.

<Don't confuse a statement about the future with a statement about
potentiality.
<1) It is raining in Hawaii
<2) It can rain in Hawaii
<3) It will rain in Hawaii

1. & 2. are correct, but 3. is not. It will rain if it does.

<1) is a statement about what actually is happening
<2) is a statement about what potentially can happen
<3) is a statement about what actually will happen

Again 3. is wrong. Nothing happens until it happens. The third statement is
based on the assumption that reality will continue and while it is highly
likely, is not fact. Fact is what is. The present. The future is not yet.
Unless you believe the future exists, other than a mental concept of
potentialities. Which is why I asked for your definition of time. You are
confusing potential and reality. You are saying that what could be, is.

<The capitalized phrase has introduced an error, since it is not the case
that we can know of the occurence of something only <if someone was present
at the time of the occurence.

Again, I would like your definition of time. Where does the past exist? Does
it exist? Can we go there? Does the future exist? Can we go there and if we
can, is it then only the present? Where does the future exist?
