Right on. And both Pirsig and Wilber find the secularist version of evolution
fails to explain how and why the inner life of conscious awareness created the
space for conceptual possibilities. Lest there be any doubt, the MOQ presents
an alternative to scientific evolutionary theories, pointing out the unanswered
questions inherent in those theories. An attempt to ridicule the MOQ alternative
by lumping it in with religious fundamentalism is to engage in guilt by
association -- a type of ad hominem fallacy.
