Hi Ron
Yes, only via words does the world emerge from
experience. Prior to our linguistic evolution there
were experiences and qualities and values I guess
but only a somewhat limited range of recognised
patterns, somewhat hazzily recognised. Something
as complex as a world emerges somewhat later
in language & culture I imagine. Language is a form
of SQ, it helps reality-experience to evolve and
develop I'd say. The qualities that emerge into experience
are enhanced by language. Language is a tool for
active experience and controlling experience and its
possibilities. In fact the power of language for handling
& exploring SQ creates a problem. The problem of
SOM where we cease to acknowledge the importance
of DQ and see everything in SQ terms. That's how I see
the role of language.
regards
David M
