DMB, Marsha,
James Austin's "Zen and the Brain" is something that made an
impression on me some years ago, I blogged about him, mentioned him on
here and in fact he's also mentioned in the 2005 paper.
I too must seek his "Reflections" - I was taken by the mix of medical
science, chemical-induced and meditative brain states, zen and
philosophy in "Zen and the Brain" - it's quite a large tome.
